Subdeacon Tim Grace
Subdeacon Tim commenced his new chaplaincy role in the now infamous 2020, and is enjoying connecting with staff, students and other chaplains. When he’s not on campus, he’s homeschooling his children, working as a part-time English teacher or serving at the Good Shepherd Orthodox Community. He has completed a Masters in Orthodox Theology with a focus on the poetry of Saint Symeon the New Theologian, an 11th century Orthodox mystic. He’s also into literature, film, cooking and looks for any excuse for a coffee.
Father Geoff Harvey
Father Geoff has been a chaplain at Monash since 2007 and is responsible for the regular Religious Services (Liturgies, Vespers, and special Feast days) for the Orthodox Community in the Religious Centre, as well as general chaplaincy duties along with the other chaplains. He has served in parishes in Melbourne as well as seven years as an Australian Army Chaplain when he served with the Operational Deployment Force in Townsville and the Royal Military College, Duntroon. He loves serving at the University, working with the future leaders of our Australian community, as well as some from overseas.
